Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Clean and Paid, operated by Just A Guy Software LLC, collects, what it is used for, and who can see it. It covers hosts (who have accounts) and cleaners (who do not, and who reach Clean and Paid only by text).
What we collect
From hosts: your name, email address and password (the password is held by our authentication provider, Supabase, and never by Clean and Paid itself); a business name; up to two mobile numbers; the names, timezones and turnover times of your properties; and the calendar link for each property.
From calendar feeds: booking dates and the platform’s summary line (typically “Reserved” or “Not available”). Airbnb’s feed does not include guest names, contact details or payment information, and Clean and Paid does not ask for them.
About cleaners: the name, mobile number and optional email a host enters; every text sent to or received from that number through Clean and Paid; and the status of their Stripe payout account (set up, pending, needs attention) — never its contents.
About payments: a reference to your Stripe customer and payment method, and a display label such as “Visa ending 4242”. Card numbers and bank account numbers are entered into Stripe’s forms and never pass through Clean and Paid.
The calendar link is treated as a password
The link you paste grants read access to a property’s booking calendar. Clean and Paid stores it server-side only, never sends it back to your browser, never writes it to a log, and shows only a masked version in the app. If you suspect it has leaked, regenerate it on the booking platform and paste the new one.
How we use it
- To create cleaning jobs from your bookings and show them to you.
- To text your cleaner about those jobs and record their replies.
- To pass free-text messages between a cleaner and the host phones, so both sides are read.
- To pay cleaners through Stripe when you ask us to, and to bill you for Clean and Paid’s fee.
- To notice when something is stuck — a calendar that stopped loading, a text that failed, a declined card — so we can fix it or tell you.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messages
Texts are sent through Twilio. Every message in and out is kept so the host can see what was said and when. Only phone numbers a host has added can affect anything: a text from an unrecognised number gets no reply and is not stored — we keep only a daily count. Reply STOP to any Clean and Paid text to receive nothing further, or HELP for help. When a host agrees to texts, or confirms a cleaner has, we record when and which wording they saw. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of sharing below exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Phone numbers are passed to Twilio only so the messages can be delivered.
Who can see what
- A host sees only their own account. Accounts are separated at the database level.
- A cleaner sees only the texts sent to them. Cleaners have no login and cannot see the dashboard.
- A host never sees a cleaner’s bank or identity details; those live with Stripe.
- The operator of Clean and Paid can see account data in order to run and support the service.
Who we share it with
Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Twilio (text messaging), Stripe (payments and payouts), Vercel (application hosting) and Resend (billing emails). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We share information with nobody else except where the law requires.
How long we keep it
Account, property and job records are kept while your account is open and for up to 90 days after it closes, then deleted. Text message history and payment records are kept for seven years, which is what tax and dispute rules require. You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing the address below.
Your choices
- Edit or remove properties, cleaners and phone numbers in the app at any time.
- Remove your payment method in Settings; texting pauses until another is added.
- Any phone number can reply STOP to opt out of texts.
- Email us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
Children
Clean and Paid is for adults running short-term rentals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so by email and in the app before it takes effect.
