SMS Program
Last updated September 21, 2026
This page describes the text messages Clean and Paid sends, who receives them, and how each person agrees to receive them. Clean and Paid is operated by Just A Guy Software LLC.
The program
- Program: Clean and Paid turnover texts
- Sender: Clean and Paid, a product of Just A Guy Software LLC
- Purpose: operational messages that coordinate a short-term rental turnover between a host and the cleaner they hired — a checkout to confirm, a reminder, a request to report the clean, a payment notice, a cancellation.
- Not marketing. No promotional or advertising messages are sent in this program, and phone numbers are never used for marketing.
How hosts opt in
A host signs up at cleanandpaid.com and adds their mobile number under Settings (or during setup). Beneath the phone fields is an unchecked checkbox, and the number cannot be saved until the host ticks it. It is asked again whenever a number changes. The checkbox reads:
Settings → Your phone (illustration)
The time the box was ticked, and the wording shown, are recorded against the account.
How cleaners opt in
Cleaners do not have Clean and Paid accounts. A host adds a cleaner they already work with, by name and mobile number, on the Cleaners page. Before the cleaner can be saved, the host must tick an unchecked box confirming the cleaner has agreed:
Cleaners → Add a cleaner (illustration)
Nothing is sent to a cleaner until that box is ticked. The first message she receives identifies the host and Clean and Paid, explains the program, and says how to get help and how to stop — shown first below.
Sample messages
First message to a cleaner
Hi Maria, this is Bell Rentals (via Clean and Paid). You'll get texts about cleans: reply YES or NO to take one, CLEAN when done. Other replies reach Bell Rentals. Msg freq varies, msg&data rates may apply. HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
A clean to confirm
River House checkout Tue Oct 6 11:00 AM. Reply YES or NO.
Asking her to report the clean
River House: reply CLEAN when done. Due by 4:00 PM.
Payment sent
River House: payment sent ($120.00). Thank you!
Booking cancelled
River House Tue Oct 6: the booking was canceled. No clean needed.
Hosts receive the same messages as the cleaner, so both sides can read the thread, and a cleaner’s free-text replies are passed on to the host.
Frequency, cost, help and stopping
- Message frequency varies with bookings — typically two to four messages per clean.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply HELP for help. The reply is: “Clean and Paid: turnover texts between short-term rental hosts and their cleaners. Help: hello@justaguysoftware.com. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- Reply STOP at any time to stop all messages. The reply is: “Clean and Paid: you're unsubscribed and will receive no further messages. Reply START to resubscribe.” After STOP, that number receives nothing further unless it replies START.
- You can also email hello@justaguysoftware.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
