Terms of Service
Last updated September 21, 2026
Clean and Paid (cleanandpaid.com) is operated by Just A Guy Software LLC (“Clean and Paid”, “we”). These terms are an agreement between Clean and Paid and the person or business that opens an account (“you”, the “host”). By creating an account you accept them.
1. What Clean and Paid does
Clean and Paid reads the booking calendar you connect, creates a cleaning job for each checkout, texts the cleaner you name about that job, records their replies, and — if you choose — pays them through Stripe. It does not clean anything, does not find cleaners for you, and does not change anything on Airbnb or any other booking platform.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your login.
- You confirm that you are entitled to connect the calendars you connect and to have the cleaners you add texted about your properties.
3. Text messages
Clean and Paid sends SMS to two kinds of people: hosts (you, and any second phone you add) and cleaners (people you add by name and mobile number). The messages are operational: a checkout is coming, please confirm; a reminder; please reply when the clean is done; a payment was sent; a booking was cancelled; a one-time introduction; and, when a reply matches nothing, a short note saying which words would have worked. Free-text messages from a cleaner may be passed on to the host phones, and vice versa, so that both sides can be read.
Program. The program is called “Clean and Paid turnover texts”. It sends operational messages only; there is no marketing or promotional content.
Consent. You agree to receive texts by ticking the SMS consent box under your phone number, which is asked again whenever a number changes. When you add a cleaner you must confirm, by ticking a box, that they have agreed to receive these messages from Clean and Paid; nothing is sent to a cleaner until you do. Their first message introduces you and Clean and Paid, explains the program, and says how to get help and how to stop. Details, including the exact wording of both boxes, are on the SMS Program page.
Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies with your bookings — typically two to four messages per clean, and Clean and Paid caps the number of texts per job and per day. Message and data rates may apply.
Help and stopping. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@justaguysoftware.com. Reply STOP at any time to stop all messages to that number; you will receive one confirmation and nothing further unless you reply START. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Clean and Paid never sells or shares these phone numbers, or anyone’s SMS opt-in data, for marketing. Unrecognised numbers that text a Clean and Paid number receive no reply and are not stored.
4. Fees
Clean and Paid charges a service fee of $3.00 per completed clean, capped at $20.00 per property per calendar month. Fees accrue when a clean is marked complete and are charged to your payment method once a month for exactly the amount accrued. Clean and Paid covers the card-processing cost on its own fee. Your first 30 days after adding a payment method are free. Current pricing is shown in the app before a payment method is requested; we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before changing it.
Cleaner payouts are a separate charge. When you pay a cleaner through Clean and Paid, your payment method is charged the cleaner’s rate plus the processor’s fee for that payment, and the full rate is transferred to the cleaner. Clean and Paid takes nothing from that charge. If you pay a cleaner outside Clean and Paid, nothing is charged for that payout.
A payment method is required before any text is sent. If a charge fails you have ten days to fix it, during which nothing stops. After that, texting is paused until a working payment method is on file; your calendar and dashboard keep working.
5. Payments and Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card and bank details are entered into Stripe’s own forms and never reach Clean and Paid’s servers. Cleaners who receive payouts open a Stripe account of their own; their bank and identity details are held by Stripe and are visible to neither Clean and Paid nor the host. Stripe’s own terms apply to those accounts.
6. What we cannot promise
Clean and Paid depends on your booking platform’s calendar feed, on the mobile network, and on Stripe. Calendar feeds can lag or change; texts can be delayed or filtered by carriers; payments can be declined. Clean and Paid is provided as is. We do not guarantee that a text arrives, that a cleaner replies, or that a clean happens, and we are not liable for a missed turnover, a guest complaint, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the service fees you paid Clean and Paid in that period.
7. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Clean and Paid at any time; fees already accrued remain payable. We may suspend or close an account that is used to abuse the texting system, to avoid paying, or in breach of these terms. If we close your account we will tell you why and charge only what has accrued.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email and in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Clean and Paid after that date means you accept the updated terms.
